- Lovo – Similar to BBQ, Fijians call it Lovowhich cooked in an underground oven with proteins, vegetables and spices. The mixture is marinated, wrapped in foil and then allowed to cook for around 2-3hrs covered with banana leaves.
- Rourou – Rourou are taro leaves which is somehow identical to spinach. They are used to make Fijian Peticonsisting a mixture of coconut milk, chili, onion and tuna fish. Brings a smile to your face when you take a bite.
- Palusami – This delicious dish is made with the help of either taro leaves or rourou. Mixture of coconut and meat are stuffed inside the leaf and allowed to cook till the meat becomes succulent.
